So I just got a new dog from a local no-kill shelter. In case you don’t know what that is, some shelters will euthanize their animals after a certain amount of time, while no-kill shelters will allow them to live until nature takes its course. In any case, my girlfriend is out of town and I wanted to send her a cryptic drawing before she came back so that she’s be slightly prepared for the surprise. I took out my trusty tablet mouse digitizer and stylus and got to cyber-painting the pup.
The mutt was curious about what I was doing and was sniffing around my Intuos graphics tablet like crazy. At some point I got thirsty and went to the fridge to grab a drink. I get back and the pup is gone, and so is the stylus! I find the dog in the bathroom licking his chops and know instantly what happened. I rush over and pry his mouth open and try to see if I can find the digital pen but I can’t. I worry a ton and end up taking him to the vet. The vet examined him and felt around but couldn’t find anything. After I agreed to pay, he did some X-rays, but those came clean. When I got back to the apartment, I ended up finding the stylus rolled under the couch. I don’t even want to think what it is that he might have eaten in the bathroom. He’s still ok though, so I’ll assume whatever it was was organic.
