Role Of Plotting In Novel Publishing

July 27th, 2008 | by admin |

Remember that plots come out of the characters and not vice versa. Needless to say that the plot is the soul of novel publishing and therefore the existence of a well knit plot is must for a successful novel. Once you have the basic idea about the story in your mind, you can start by building the characters and then go on knitting the story around their lives, stating the obstacles suffered by them and the problems handled and so on. Thus you could start by building the characters and then go on to the story. Think from a multidimensional perspective and look for various directions that the plot can be built in.
