2007’s Sports Utility Vehicle Pound Saver

In the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) category, the Ford Escape Hybrid won the award as the best gas mileage suv. But on an overall comparison, the SUV is more popular as a truck rather than a passenger vehicle. The crown was given to Ford for the purpose that the mileage was consistent and excellent in every terrain when compared to the long list of SUV’s in the market. The FWD Ford Escape Hybrid gave a result of 31 city and 29 highway miles per gallon and the 4WD delivered 28 city and 27 highway. Though nearly similar, the best gas mileage Suv was for the FWD.
Even though the best gas mileage was taken away by Ford, the Honda and Lexus models displayed excellent fuel efficiency and were well balanced with looks.
