Background Checks For College

October 6th, 2008 | by admin |

It always seemed odd to me that some areas of study in college require students to pass background checks. But after doing some research, it made a lot more sense.

For instance, students who are going in the health sciences and will be dealing with child or elder care cannot have a criminal or violent background. In fact some schools require students to provide a background check before they are admitted to the program.

After researching some of requirements for nurses, doctors, therapists, and others, I realized I was glad they were required to got through that screening. It actually makes me feel a bit more secure.
