Project planning software is a terrific thing to have as long as you understand its limitations. It shouldn’t be used to override or undermine your intuition or ideas. It is designed to help you focus, not take control. Also, make sure you know how to use it before using it on a project. You wouldn’t get behind the wheel of a car and start driving it if you’d never done it, would you? The same applies with project planning software.
