Disaster Recovery Business Resumption Plan
July 27th, 2008 | by admin |Recovering from a business devastation is not good planning. Many companies lack a disaster recovery business resumption plan. Many claim to have a plan in place but in reality what they have is a recovery plan, often meaning that they have off site temporary premises to operate from and off site back up of all their files in an event of a total disruption of operation. Business continuity planning extends beyond the technology aspect of their business. A successful business is a sum of its parts. Considering the IT department being the only part that most companies have safety plans for, lends to believe that they are single minded and ill prepared to address the whole need of the company.
