E-books - Researching is the trick

June 5th, 2008 | by admin |

Creating an e-book is an easy way to get you feet wet in the world of internet marketing. If you have been considering doing this already but are not sure how then read on as some useful information is discussed here. Many authors aren't even the real authors as they have employed ghost writers to help them because they do not feel comfortable writing on their own.

The first thing to do research the topic for your e-book and write some articles and although this can be any subject, it is easier to write about something you are interested in that people are willing to buy the information you have. Articles are less intimidating to write than a book, and you can use some of the articles as promotional tools to create demand for your forthcoming book. This is a simple process whereby the promotional articles are sent to directories for insertion; the number of views they get will provide a good indication just how much interest there is in the subject.

While you're writing the articles you will need to develop your e-Book's overall structure. Most books are set out with an introduction, the main topic and then a conclusion but you may want to add a resource section as well which is quite normal these days. Many books now contain bonus material to give it more value and increase the number of people that buy it and to note that  book guild publishing  is also doing this.

Normally authors will write an article and then insert it into their e-book as this gives them an idea of how it will look when it is completed. Most e-books are around the fifty age mark for ease of reading but they need to stay on their topic and provide excellent information. As computer screens are notoriously awkward to read with comfortably, a shorter more concise book is appreciated.

Most e-books provide bonus material so if you can find some include this as it will be welcomed. Your bonus material could include a small report (just write two or three additional articles), checklists, or add templates. The bonus material should really have a value all of its own and be directly related to the topic of the e-book.
