ABA paralegal program

September 20th, 2008 | by admin |

The ABA represents the interests of attorneys throughout the US and since legal assistants need to serve the attorneys, it is justified that the ABA have a say in the approval of formal paralegal certificate programs drafted by educational institutions. A standing committee of the US attorneys’ organization oversees and approves every ABA paralegal program. An accredited paralegal certificate program does not have a job enabling value, unless the program and its institution have been approved and certified by the ABA (American Bar Association). Moreover, you cannot even sit for the CLA exam, unless the paralegal certificate course you attended is ABA approved.
