Avoiding Student Loan Cancellation

July 20th, 2008 | by admin |

For the most part, the guidelines provided by the Federal government are not overly difficult to follow. As an example, if you do not use illegal drugs, you will not need to worry about your loans being cancelled (student loan cancellation) for this reason.  Likewise, if you are a law abiding citizen, it is not likely you will be arrested and convicted of a crime.  In most cases, you will find that maintaining academic standards is the most common reason for losing financial aid.  That said, this is also a circumstance that you can mitigate.  Among other things, if you do not feel you understand information in lectures and text books, you need to contact your professor.  Even if they cannot help you directly, they often have TA's and other assistants that can help you study.
