How is Traumatic Brain Injury treated?

Can anyone tell me where I can find out what doctors can do for this type of injury? A friend of mine is in the hospital with a head injury, and it really doesn’t seem like they are doing much for her. Her family is wondering whether they should get a second opinion on the treatment, so I am trying to find out whether the course of treatment offered by the doctor is typical or not. We want to make sure she gets the best treatment possible.
