Listening devices that are made for hunters

What is DS? It shows left DS 100% at 60 dB. They gave me paperwork for to help deal with it and said that since almost all insurance companies will not pay for hearing aid, I could use one of the devices that are made for hunters. I had tried it, but my ears are small and the listening device will not fit in my ear. Now I wish that I had a listening device. Any suggestions on one for small ears? Thanks
