Causes of Adolescent Teenage Eating Disorders

Eating disorders characterized by extreme eating habits can be caused by a number of reasons. Hormonal imbalances are one of the most potent reasons that lead to adolescent eating disorder. Adolescence itself being a major risk factor can cause severe lifestyle problems eventually causing eating disorder. Tens are known to go through several emotional stresses, peer pressures and other negative thoughts about their growing body. Adolescent teenage eating disorders can be caused if teenagers are rigorously involved in sports, athletics or dancing. It makes them highly conscious about their body weight, so that their performance is not affected in any way. Apart from hormonal changes and adolescent complications, several family related issues can also lead to eating disorders in teens.
