I’m in Valley Stream, Long Island NY. I’m planning on taking a trip to California with my friends next summer, I’m going to work this summer and try to get as much money as I can. I want to have enough money for a plane ticket TO and from california. How much does it cost to GO to california from New York by plane? And how much does it cost to go to california and come back?

Advice would be appreciated!

      Assuming 21 day advance purchase, it will be somewhere between $800 and $400.

      Fares change all the time, so it is hard to nail it down better than that.

      Hit all the discount ticket company’s and do it a few months before you go.

      California is a big state. They have more than 1 airport Where do you want to fly to?

      $99 one-way ticket, you can get $158 round trip sometimes

      You can spend $500 for one week visit California ( including air ticket and $20 per night hostel, food and some admission)
