For school, we have to search for interesting news stories to present and discuss in class. I typically try to use Associated Press stories. How would you guys rank the following news sources by which I should use (most frequently)?

I would take the NY Times & the LA Times before any of the television networks or other publications.
Television and magazine news is more often than not superficial while newspaper journalism is more exhaustive.
No sources are perfect, but if you want credible coverage, you’re better off with The Atlantic, The Washington Independent, Democracy Now, The Nation, Foreign Policy, Politics Daily, Reason and the Economist.
